What exactly does the GOTS certification mean from the Organic Socks Björk?
GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. It is an independent certificate for clothing and textiles that has worldwide fame. At GOTS you can assume that the cotton is at least 70% organically grown and produced.
The organic socks must be non-toxic. No chemicals should be used that could cause irritation or harm the environment. The working conditions must also be safe, child labor must not be used and there must be no discrimination whatsoever.
